News + EventsFrom the PastorMy pastor/friend Sam Boyd recently shared an article with his church that I wanted to pass along to you. In light of what we have been talking about on Sundays in January, I found his words to be very instructive and reminded me of questions we should ask ourselves that we might be fully devoted followers of Christ. Use these questions in a time of prayer and devotional.
In 2004, Nancy DeMoss, Christian writer and speaker, offered the following self-evaluation at a conference at The Cove in Asheville, NC.
Am I...
1. Losing the Wonder? 2. Neglecting my relationship with Christ? 3. Proclaiming truth I'm not living? 4. Relying on the natural? 5. Leaving the pathway of humility? 6. Settling for the status quo? 7. Serving without love? 8. Losing perspective? 9. Seeking comfort and convenience? God has been doing a great work in people's lives over these past few weeks. It has been a time of refreshing and deeper commitment. I hope these questions take you deeper in your walk and your commitment to the Lord. I look forward to seeing you Sunday. God has clearly placed a message on my heart for you to hear. Come prayed up and ready to hear God speak to your heart. The Best is yet to come!
